Looking for supplier of carbon fiber plate and a service that can CNC cut this

Featured Replies

Hello, stated as the title, I need 3mm carbon fiber  plate, and someone who can CNC cut this for me. Google doesn't give me enough hits, found only one company that can do CNC but they don't supply the carbon fiber.

???? Observation;- It may be useful to know roughly what size of carbon fibre laminate that you intend to have milled? e.g. 200mm x 200mm or 1000mm x 1000mm etc? Quantity?

If it was just a small amount of functional laminate, I think I would get two panes of 10mm plate glass offcuts, some release agent and 3mm coin size spacers, and have a go at laying up the carbon laminate myself! (Functional or decorative?)

Little bit confused. Why do you need the same company to supply the fiber and CNC the parts?

Just buy the plate and take it to the machine shop.

10 years ago I did a run of Locost Carbon Fiber dashboards. My carbon fiber supplier rough cut to size the 4mm plate and a CNC company in Rangsit machined the piercings and finished size.

PS

Ask mods to move to the DIY section. Maybe more knowledge there than here.
