New customer to Charles Schwab. Would appreciate feedback from an existing customer.

Just received my Charles Schwab Debit card. Would like to Fund it for $100.00 initially using “Schwab Mobile Deposit” app.

 

Can you tell me if this will work:

 

- Write a check to myself (using a CitiBank personnel check) for $100.00.

- On the check write the Schwab checking acct number. Open the Schwab app, select Deposit

- Enter $100.00 in Schwab app. Take photo of both sides of check.

- Hit deposit.

 

In the future I will probably use either Schwab's linked accounts or Zelle to receive funds from my external Bank to CS.

I just looked at my Schwab brokerage account web page. It is possible  to instantly  link an external checking account by using the login credentials of the checking account.
