No domestic flights from 11pm to 4am to prevent COVID-19 spread

Admittedly, they are not the only country using time curfews.

The theory reads as mechanical more than anything, a reduction in unnecessary interactions.

Also, apparently we are all very naughty if we go out drinking  ...with the touchy feely and the hoochy coochy.

Are there many domestic flights between 10pm and 4am out of interest ?

Not that I have ever seen on the schedules.

There might be planes departing at these times, but don't forget there are plenty of cargo and some international flights.

Well: latest flights to Phuket or Chiang Mai depart at 22:00 (10 PM) and arrive after 23:00 (11 PM).

Affected? Guess not.

Ha ha, the Directorate of Civil Aviation did it again - it outsmarted the virus which now roams the skies of Thailand for absolutely nothing.

As we know, the aviation virus is active between 22h00 and 04h00 so the flight ban reflects a single middle finger towards the opposite direction of the rest ..........

That makes a lot of sense. It's safer if more people travel within a short time period than spreading it out, with less crowds over a longer time, Thai logic ???

Better to put all in one plane! Pack full all planes and stop flight's already 7:00 pm! It maybe helps!

"A total of 26 flights could be affected by the new travel restrictions: 11 departing from Don Mueang Airport, eight from Suvarnabhumi Airport, four from Phuket Airport, two from Hat Yai Airport and one from Chiang Mai Airport."

How many (on average) passengers are unable to fly by this move? Are the passengers whose flights are canclled, able to reschedule their flight bookings to a time during which flights are not cancelled? Anyone know? Because is a (flight cancelled) passenger is rebooked, I'm not sure what the benefit is in cancelling the flights. Aeroplanes do not have COVID-10, the people inside them may do...

I've never seen domestic flights at that hour.  Maybe because I live near Udon Thani airport.

Odd way to prevent the spread of the virus.  Also the red zones.  No problem getting in or out.

Doesn't appear to be any ex-BKK or DMK last night 22:00 to today 04:00.

Mostly international (pax and cargo) ex-BKK during these hours.

Can only assume CAAT wants to discourage airlines from ADDING NEW flights during these hours?

This virus only spreads at certain hours of the day?

Same as it only goes where alcohol is being served.

In restaurants in UK, you can pay for your meal at your table as long as there is no alcohol involved. Otherwise you must go to the counter to pay. Ludicrous!
