BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has ordered the Ministry of Public Health to address concerns expressed in social media about the transporting of COVID-19 patients between medical facilities.

Deputy Spokesperson to the Prime Minister’s Office, Traisuli Traisoranakul said today Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has been briefed on issues concerning the transference of COVID-19 patients needing different treatments and has instructed relevant agencies to integrate their databases and remedy any problems, calling on both public and private hospitals as well as “hospitels” to share information. He also ordered that patients pending transfer be made aware of best practices. The PM is also looking into remedial action after learning that call centers handling COVID-19 responses are under staffed.

Acknowledging the capable work of the Ministry of Public Health, the PM tapped the Ministry of Defense to lend a hand in terms of transportation vehicles.

Gen Prayut urged the public to have confidence that they will be well cared for and that the government is providing all essential resources to improve the situation. He asked all to care for themselves and to avoid at-risk locations if possible while observing preventative measures such as mask wearing and hand washing, reminding the population that the crisis will conclude swiftly if all ensure their cooperation.

He thinks it's the same as "stand to attention"

Maybe he has watched some old movies and seen that old cattle trucks used to be good for moving people en-masse. Anutin has assured him that is the way to go

Shame the Thai people are forced to be so compliant and cant find away to get a democratically elected government to rule the country instead of this sham bunch of military tyrants.

At least they have a head honcho who really follows the philanthropist ideals with his messages of support and care to the people during this time of covid crisis!

Life isn't so simple for non-soldiers. See a problem, order it to stop. Seemed easy at the training school buster, how's it working out for you now?

Out of the barracks and out of his depth.

Order the vaccine you fool????

Why is there a problem in the first place?
Because the government opened up the flood gates in red zones and allows people from those areas to travel unimpeded across the entire country during Songkran.  What did they expect was going to happen?  Why did they do it?  To get where we are now?
