Popular Post unblocktheplanet
This should be big news for just one reason. Thailand gave up one of its own citizens to face US corruption charges. We all know how that goes. But she is no Viktor Bout. The message is, Thailand will give up anyone to a foreign power, even its own citizens, for political gain. Search the title, “Thai Woman now in California over huge Navy corruption Case”, dated March 10. You may recall the scandal of the Bangkok Int’l Film Festival in which two Hollywood fixers were charged with bribing a foreign official, TAT Governor Juthamas Siriwan. Juthamas, aged 72, was sentenced to 50 years, her daughter, aged 40, to 40 years. Gerald & Patricia Green, 78 & 53, were found guilty of tax evasion, money laundering & bribing a foreign official ($1.8mil to Juthamas resulting in contracts worth $13.5mil). Thailand never asked for their extradition from the US. They got hit hard, too: 6 months in prison & a $250k fine. Double standards, no? ! 1 1

fusion58
Quote Settaphakorn, also known as “Yin,” was charged with participating in a conspiracy to submit fraudulent price quotes, claims and invoices to the U.S. Navy in an effort to steal millions of dollars as part of a years-long fraud scheme. What's the big deal? She's a Thai female. Hardly any distinction in that. ????
