April 29, 20215 yr That british expat, Richard Barrow, has a tweet from this morning, saying quarantine rules have been changed and now anyone who has obtained COE on or after 1st of May will need to quarantine for 14 days, regardless of nationality and vaccination status? Is this true? If yes, where the f..k is the logic in that? The logistical nightmare..Hotels need to accommodate travellers, people need to adjust their plans, this Government is a joke. April 29, 20215 yr yeah 14 days, not much logic, it's Thailand that's having a surge so doesn't make sense to increase quarantine from countries doing ok. Not much makes sense here
April 29, 20215 yr Author I ain't no virologist, but, as far as I remember, when Europe opened for travel last summer, Governments accepted there will be a surge in cases and it was a risk evaluated and accepted, you cannot open the country and expect cases will not rise. Thailand seems to have a naive approach, zero cases..I mean, you need to learn to coexist with the virus and somehow manage to contain it, but they spread so much fear into the thai public, with intention or they are simply clueless about this virus, as it is hard to believe, they will open the country. If even vaccinated travellers need to quarantine... Edited April 29, 20215 yr by drenddy
