May 2, 20215 yr I've just bought a Dmax, it's the lower spec version and doesn't have the touch screen that others do. These can be had starting at around B5k on Lazada, but it's not 100% clear what the features are. I'd prefer not to replace the stereo, as the one fitted is fine. Most of all what I'd like is: - Bluetooth that allows me to use my phone hands free - GPS/Google maps - Music, (possibly using my phone) - Dash cam Is there anyone who has fitted an aftermarket screen or is familiar with the different models available?
May 2, 20215 yr Put a Pioneer in our Teana. Double DIN so factory radio goes. Front and rear cameras, pairs with 2 phones, BT, USB, AUX inputs. Android Auto so all apps from phone function. Much better sound than factory, altho we upgraded speakers at the same time. Well pleased Edited May 2, 20215 yr by canthai55

May 2, 20215 yr 20K if memory serves. Installation took one day. Dropped car off late afternoon the day before, picked it up following afternoon.
May 3, 20215 yr a bit of offtopic: did anyone see a statistics report on amount of road accidents with cars equipped with a touchscreen VS road accidents with cars equipped with "mechanical" buttons and rotary knobs?

No I didn't. I imagine the touch screens would fare worse. Which is why many cars have buttons on the steering wheel. These can also be had aftermarket, they have cruise control, volume control and phone answering. But I don't fully understand how they work, there's wires to be plugged in. Does the Dmax just have wires waiting to be plugged in? Where is the mic for the phone audio and how do these work in if I was to get an aftermarket screen? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/car-steering-wheel-button-cruise-control-switch-audio-media-multifunction-button-for-isuzu-d-max-dmax-for-chevrolet-dmax-d-max-i2272710727-s7634005728.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.15.83b313e0kwpJ77&search=1&freeshipping=1 Edited May 4, 20215 yr by Smithson
May 4, 20215 yr About 10K should get a resonable kenwood head unit that does what you want. I wouldn't bother with lazada - go to a good shop and see what they have. See the www.rocketsound.co.th page. They also have a facebook page and will repond to questions.

As far as those accessory remote controls mounted on the steering wheel - I would not bother. Once you get used to the head unit you can find the volume and mute easily. When the fone rings the screen changes - two large icons displayed - answer or cancel. Easy
