Bringing my dogs to Australia from Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!!

I have been researching about exporting dogs into Australia from Thailand but I don’t know if these information are up to date. What I found was that they are required to quarantine in either Singapore and Malaysia for 45 days and another 10 days in Melbourne without visiting.. Besides quarantine, I know that there are tons of paperworks that needed to be filled out and I am still not sure how much it will cost.. I have read some stories and it said that the costs could be as much as $2000 per dog, I don’t mind paying this much because I just don’t want to leave them behind. They were with me since they were pups and we are bonded. I just also found an article saying that Australia is not allowed dogs from Malaysia anymore due to the rabies, which means the only way to Aus is via Singapore.

Does anyone have experiences with this dogs export or knows any pet services? PLEASE help me out, I am planning to relocate around next year.

A friend took both his dogs home to Perth mid 2017.

all in cost was 10k AUD.

Edit: they went Via Singapore.
