US Treasury check

Featured Replies

I'm banking with SCB. How long will it take to settle a US Treasury check?

Does it make a difference with which bank the check is deposited?

How long's a piece of string?   It will take as long as the US Treasury takes to receive the cheque and clear it in the US.  You're at their mercy but, as the cheque has to be physically sent to the US, bank on three or four weeks for the process to complete.

The only difference may be the different banks' clearing charges but use SCB.  Even if you could find a bank that would accept the job for a non-customer (zero chance), that bank (a) be unable to credit you with the uncleared cheque initially and (b) be unable to credit you with the eventual cleared funds unless they opened a new account for you.

1st time Bangkok Bank credited my Thai bank account in 13 days.

2nd time I have used my US mobile banking app, uploaded images and in 2-3 days my funds were available in the US.

3rd time still waiting on BBL to credit my account after 17 days.

Thanks for suggestion but US bank no have,

Not "any" U.S. bank acct....just any bank?  And I'm not talking about USbank (a.k.a., US Bank) which is a specific bank name, but just any U.S. bank like Bank of America, USAA, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc....etc....etc.

But since I mentioned the specific bank of USbank, here's their webpage talking deposit of a check using their mobile app.
