there are many vax, very safe, used for tens of years on billions. 

Within the last 3 months I had 5 jabs (mmr, prevnar, hepa A, typhoid, zostavax). On my list another 3 (tdap, varicell, meningo). And later on boosters of those. 

 

the thing is - we are getting older and our immune system becoming weaker. So that you never got ill for many years doesn't prevent you from getting sick this year
