Senior officials inside the Covid response centre and the Ministry of Public Health are growing increasingly frustrated with the Bangkok Governor’s office and its haphazard response to the Covid-19 pandemic, sources told Thai Enquirer on Tuesday.

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration made a last minute intervention on Monday to halt an order by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration from opening parks, massage parlors and other at-risk businesses.

It is the latest public spat between the feuding government organizations that has drawn into question the government’s Covid-19 response and has caused embarrassment for officials in the Ministry of Public Health and the CCSA.

Mutual, at least.

“We don’t know what the hell they are doing, they’re not communicating, the CCSA don’t know what the hell they are doing,” the official said.

The piece says that was from CCSA, but it could just as easily have come from the BMA side. BMA, not for the first time, is actually trying to DO something - right or wrong - while the government does nothing except insert its collective finger further up its [deleted].

BMA must be as fed up with this mess as the population it is supposed to serve.

it is what happens when people are put into jobs they are qualified to do - a widespread problem across the whole country

What's the problem ?

The Govenor's office gave the precise answer that " It is a definite maybe that this might happen, sometime ". What can be more clear than that ?

Stupid panic to keep public parks closed.

At the same time people can pack into buses and MRT/BTS?

Haven't heard that they are closed.

"Calls to the governor’s son Posakorn Kwanmuang who was installed by his father as the BMA spokesman was not returned."

The problem in a nutshell. No, not the grammatical errors, <deleted>!

Awww, can't even those useless entitled "elites" get along with each other at least?
