Three popular shopping malls, in Bangkok’s Siam Square commercial district, claimed today (Saturday) that the COVID-19 infections among their staff account for just 0.4% of their employees and that most caught their infection elsewhere.

A joint statement from Siam Paragon, Siam Centre and Siam Discovery was issued today in response to a statement by CCSA Spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin that a new cluster of infections has been found at shopping malls in Siam Square, in the Pathumwan district.

The three malls said that only 129 infections have been confirmed since April, out of some 35,000 employees working there, and that most of them were infected at their lodgings.

Oh dear, they've been named. Watch out for zero footfall and some heavy-duty legal suits.

Those three shopping malls employ 35,000 people. Really?!

I would not have expected anything different in their response.....

Given that each shop and restaurant has about 100 employees standing around doing nothing, it's not a surprising figure.

"....most caught their infection elsewhere."

Interesting that they were able to ascertain this.

The surprising thing is that the clusters are not bigger. Have seen workers going into shopping malls, and many bypass the screening and temp. check on the way in.  As do many customers (especially at Emporium) they seem to think it is below them to follow the rules.

Thai gross inefficiency at warp speed.

CP used to suppress all information regarding tracing through 7-11... this will pass it's not really their choice, money talks...

Of course they deny it. Tomorrow’s allocation of 2600 cases has already been taken up!

Where it was caught is irrelevant, did they continue to work while being positive, if so then they join all the other sites that have had infections, or are they immune from being shut-down??

Its not where they caught it .... it's where they could be now spreading it?

They should have been closed months ago, but, money talks
