Kl Multiple Entry Non B :)

Featured Replies

After being informed by the laywer that it would not be possible to get another extension this year I have had to head off to KL and organise a new non imm b multiple entry.

Armed with about 20 pages or so of copied and stamped pages as well as having my work permit changed from a a period ofing of b 6 mths to 1 yr (as per recomendation in Phuket Gazette) I was hopefull that it would be smooth sailing.

However, sitting in the office waiting to be served I was starting to get worried as three people in a row were told they that were not going to be getting multiple entry visa's. Eventually my turn came and it was all plain sailing. Correct paperwork = multiple entry

For those think of budgets this is what I have spent

Airfare on Air Asia 5300 Baht

Aircon Bus (Sky Bus)to Sentral 80 Baht

Aircon Van to Hotel (Sky Vans) 90 Baht

3 Nights at Swiss Inn In China Town 1150 Baht per night

Taxi to Embassy (only 15 mins away) 150 baht there & 100 baht back

Following day to collect visa took Mono Rail to Twin Towers stop 2o Baht and walked the rest of the way to the embassy as I wanted to take some pictures etc.

The mono rail and buses are great, clean, on time and for 20 baht you can pretty much go anywhere. Never been to KL before and having been on Phuket for a while there are some things that seemed strange

The odd pickup rather than more pickups than cars

Being able to actually walk along clear pavements

No - you want massage, rolex or suit harrasment

The relative lack of mopeds to cars - and they dont let them have baskets on the front so at night with the lights on you can actually see them

The amazing amount of protons' & chery's ( made in malaysia) cars on the road. Plus a large amount of high end german ones

The view from the Kl Tower (200 baht) well worth the trip - simply stunning
