Two Chinese fined for possession of Covid vaccines

Featured Replies

The Koh Kong Provincial Court on June 17 released two Chinese nationals after they paid a fine for the illegal possession of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines without permission.

Nuon Vutha, provincial Military Police deputy commander, told The Post on June 17 that joint forces from the provincial health department and Cham Yeam border checkpoint officers arrested the duo on June 16.

The two, aged 42 and 53, resided in Cham Yeam village of Mondul Seima district’s Bak Khlang commune.

But was it authentic vaccine and not a counterfeit?  After all there's much more profit to be made with counterfeits.

Opting for Sinovac is bad enough.  But to get it from Chinese nationals selling it on the black market?

Would anybody buy a Sinovac vaccine from a Chinese national in Thailand in a dark soi on snowy night with the guarantee thats its real. These Chinese are pushing there luck and there time will come.

So what was the follow up...who supplied them?......who are there contacts?......were the vaccines 'real'?....how did they obtain them?....were they smuggled into the country?...if so how?

But no....not very serious........   quick fine and off you go??????????.
