I've had occasional back pain similar to what you describe.

I remember sitting in my mums conservatory and suddenly hurt my back when twisting and rising to get up at the same time off the chair.   I had to stay in the chair without moving and shallow breathing.   Then my phone went off - I was on call (emergency services) and I HAD to get to work which was just over a mile away.

I managed to get out of the chair by grabbing onto anything suitable and it was sheer agony.

Then one small step after the other, I made it through the house and started walking to the station.

The more I walked the better the back pain got(very slowly though).

By the time I had walked to work, done the 5 minute job required and walked back, I was so much better and was actually thankfull for that call-out as forced me to move.

Sometimes, exercise is key.  So many people would've just laid down and taken pills etc, and still wouldn've been as well as me days later.

Hope it's sorted by now.

A lot of misinformation on this thread double check before acting

Diazepam vs Lorazepam I use both and still prefer Valium, however there is a reluctance of  doctors and hospitals, in Thailand to prescribe, however I can bypass this (without doing anything illegal, other than a few smiles) and keep 30/50 diazepam close to hand

Diazepam is not illegal

I have had a lot of absolutely excellent medical care, including major surgery, many MRI s, all at very sensible affordable cost

I am 76 three lots of major cancer, HAPPY, CONTENTED, AND ENJOYING LIFE STRUGGLING TO WALK BUT STILL DRIVING, drinking about 1/3 bottle samsong most days, if life becomes awful or full of pain I do have a plan that will work to quietly end it all !!

If you post honest factual information you need to expect to be attacked on this forum, there are sadly many in Thailand who should not be here, they scam the UK pensions, on increases and bribe for extension renewals

Thank you God

Thanks in advance for any advice

Well  about 2  years  ago  now I got  my Wife to rub my back and all of a  sudden   got a terrible  pain, dont know what it was  but  was  on the bed almost  unable to  move, suspect muscular, she had to bring me a  bottle  to pee  into after that, it  took  about 5  minutes to turn  over in bed, seemed to improve after about 3  days then got worse, almost  on the point of  going to hospital due to  pain but held off and fortunately  about 10  days  later I was  ok. Never  knew what it was and no  problems since, never  had  a  back problem before,  most  odd. Apart from anything else its extremely  boring, sleeping was  almost  impossible and turning over was  painful and VERY  slowly done with a lot of squawking by me.

Wish you well whatever it is, I certainly never  want it  again but dont know  what caused it  anyway??

Yikes......not been that bad........upright now and can walk without pain as long as I am careful. Can bend backwards, but bending forwards scares me........on the mend, but it feels like it will be weeks rather than days.

Bit judgemental thought you need to keep attention on your own problems

How about road deaths and lack of crash hats

From your own profile

If we merge mercy with might, and might with right, then love becomes our legacy and change, our children’s birthright.

An old ill man admits he is happy also drinks samsong every day, and you set about him, NOT NICE, we eat out most nights I drive there my wife drives home, in my post I did say expect to be attacked

I need to stay away from TV and the sickness it can be catching

Having read some accounts on here I do feel I have been rather fortunate.....I did panic the first day.......I could only position myself at 90, standing up or lying down....had visions of a serious op.

Some facts that may be of interest

Diazepam, first marketed as Valium, is a medicine  used to treat a range of conditions,

Common side effects include sleepiness and trouble with coordination.Serious side effects are rare.

Diazepam was patented in 1959 by  Hoffmann -La Roche. It has been one of the most frequently prescribed medications in the world since its launch in 1963In the United States it was the highest selling medication between 1968 and 1982, selling more than 2 billion tablets in 1978 alone. In 2018, it was the 115th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than 6 million prescriptions.

In 1985 the patent ended, and there are more than 500 brands available on the market. It is on the  World health List of Essential Medicines

I'm working my way through it now. My wife didn't cause it. She only gives me a pain in the neck sometimes.????

Diazepam is not illegal

It's a schedule 4 drug & is only available by prescription - well sometimes it isn't. ????

Possession w/o a 'script is illegal.

As for the "misinformation" you allege is on here; well I haven't seen any, & Sheryl, being an MD, would have corrected it, if there was.

I'm sure you don't need reminding, but please do be mindful of taking Benzos & alcohol, due to their half-life.

Stay well. ????
