jvs
I was on the road yesterday morning, heading south from Ta-Yang,i mentioned to Ann the abnormal amount of mini buses we saw,yes people are getting out of Bangkok. Good or bad,we will know within two weeks. My guess is it is not good. How many people will claim they came back last weekend?
Cake Monster
I think we have heard the " Required to self Isolate " thing before. And look at how well that has gone so far. But all is OK if you have had a single shot of the magical AZ Vaccine within the last 4 weeks. You dont have to self Isolate.
brewsterbudgen
Is this enforceable? If you've booked a few nights in a Hua Hin hotel, will they lock you in your room? What about people doing business in Bangkok or Hua HIn?
ukrules
So lets say that due to government inflexibility (paperwork number 1 in Thailand) that I need to go to Chaeng Wattana to get my next Thailand Elite visa inserted, am I supposed to isolate for 14 days when I return to Hua Hin. I don't want to go to Bangkok if I can avoid it but if I do go then I will get in a car in Hua Hin early one morning, have someone drive me there, get out at Chaeng Wattana, have my visa in about 10 to 15 minutes then get back in the car and return to Hua Hin. They offer an appointment based government concierge service and the last time I did this I just sat there in a chair in a general waiting room while the whole thing was done by the Thailand Elite concierge guy - I didn't see or speak to an immigration officer in person at all but that was about 7 years ago. For all the immigration officer knew I might not have been there in person, maybe I needed to sign some documents but I can't remember. I also need to renew my passport this year some time before getting my new visa, for a British passport that involves 2 trips to Bangkok, I do plan to use a lawyer for this but I wonder if the lawyers will need to isolate for 14 days on return from Bangkok - that's going to cause some issues. I guess it's a good job I'm planning this many months in advance and don't actually need to do this until near the end of the year. I 100% expect things to get much, much worse over the next few months, not better.

Loads of people in samui have used him for years .https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007550896332

brewsterbudgen
It's ridiculous. People need to travel regularly between Bangkok and Hua Hin. I guess it might put off some domestic tourists (which is no doubt the idea) but people will still travel.

alien365
I don't read Thai well enough but does the poster say within 4 weeks or for at least 4 weeks ago? I'm not really a nit-picker but I'd like clarification on this one. The first statement doesn't make sense as you could have had the vaccine yesterday, and now free to enter. I thought it took 14 days upwards for your body to create enough antibodies to it.

They're workers so I can't see them stopping or isolating. Same as others go to Samut Sakhon or Samut Songkram
