Popular Post webfact
File photo A local councillor in the Wiang Ken area of Chiang Rai in the north of Thailand has apologized after he wrote a letter to his boss the mayor saying he was resigning because he won 30 million in the lottery. The man said on his Facebook page that he was just joshing with his friends and didn't mean anyone any harm, least of all his employers. He said sorry to his boss, his friends and his relatives and even society in general after the letter was widely shared after a LINE post on July 16th. He said he had no power to control people who had shared the letter but asked them not to do so now as the matter had gone far enough. Daily News did not say if he had won any money or not. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-07-21 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
Gottfrid
What does he need to apologize for? What in the world can be wrong with posting his real reasons for a desire to resign? Does being a councillor include the clause of no right to resign in Thailand?

Ok, missed that. Thanks! However, how in the world is this something newsworthy?

Lets hope that a newspaper doesn't publish the story online as that would publicise the story even further

xtrnuno41
People still dont seem to get it. IF you start joke or what ever on social media, be sure it can fire back at you. People lose their jobs thnx to movies taken, also taken by other ones, you even dont know. Be aware of that. You do something, another one is filming it, put it on internet and then you have the problems. We had a known singer, she was in older (70) age, but had a movie taken on phone while having a "golden shower". Of course it spread, thnx to the sex partner she had then. Then she was wining. Yup, she learned the hard way. Even someone close to you can screw your life.
