The first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine donated by the U.S. government arrived in Thailand this morning (Friday), according to the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok.

The 1.5 million doses, of the 2.5 million pledged by the US, according to Bangkok-born US Senator Tammy Duckworth, is the first delivery of any mRNA vaccines to Thailand, as the country has, to date, had only the imported whole virus vaccines (China’s Sinovac and Sinopharm) and a vector vaccine (Oxford-AstraZeneca), the majority of which is being locally produced by Siam Bioscience.

The donation is “part of President Biden’s promise to help our friends, partners and allies fight this global pandemic. This donation will help Thailand accelerate the country’s vaccination campaign, protect the health of all residents of Thailand and begin the process of economic recovery.

The American character is what a baby Uncle Sam?

That's a good question. It couldn't be an elephant, for obvious reasons. But as it is being heralded as a Biden-Harris administration donation, I suppose it could be a malformed donkey. Or perhaps a pig. Big problem when people can't even recognize your cartoon characters.

It sure would have made alot of sense, if the US has put a condition on this donation, that all Western ex-pats, regardless of nationality, be vaccinated first. Especially Americans, considering that one of the missions of the consulate and embassy here is to make sure the well being of their citizens is looked after. Duh!

America did this for the sole reason of keeping the current regime in power.  they know that a destabilized Thailand is not in their interest in a geopolitical context. Thailand is very important.  American citizens are not comparatively speaking.

BIG BOSS

Confirm that these Pfizer vaccines are stored at - 20C.

STORAGE MANAGER.

Kor toht.... . Leum....

How come Anutin is pictured in the Bangkok Post admiring these vaccines in his usual shirt sleeves if it's stored at minus whatever ?... and what's he doing there anyway ... should be hiding in shame having been humiliated by having to accept hand outs because of his failure to procure vaccines ... or more to the point pay for them !

It looks like the United States isn't giving any of its American Expats a vaccine but they are giving them all The Bird.

American Expats - Uncle Tweetie says,
"Sinovac For You - At The End Of The Line After All Thais."

Looks like he's flipping off all the US veterans?
As a vet, it looks like it to me.

what if their objective is to sell more armaments to thailand?

de-commissioned observation balloons?

another batch of 100 armoured and machined gunned infantry vehicles to patrol bangkok streets?

The Thai government is committed to distribute these vaccines fairly to all residents of Thailand. including focusing on allocating vaccines to the most at-risk groups

I love this. I can just picture the moment when the US diplomat asked the Thai this: “as long as you ensure it’s fairly distributed”…

I am sure the moment of eye contact that ensued in the forthcoming affirmative answer was as strong a signal as the US official will ever need.

Nothing is free. Thailand will pay dearly.

Someone please check the expiry date. Don’t give Anutin any excuse if he screwed up again.

What about the temperature requirements? Can the Thais keep things that cold?

Would not be surprising for a nation that is not all that sincere about spreading democracy, nor making sacrifices geopolitically.

it goes deeper than that, but i can not go into it on this forum.  i suggest you do some research
