Popular Post lor
Is there a maximum that hotels/guest houses can charge per electric unit? I know condo's cannot be charged more than the normal domestic rate but what about long stay in hotel?

bkk6060
Some hotels do charge if you stay over 30 days. So, check out for one day and come back start the clock over again. ????
internationalism
for that you will have to get your own meter and be informed of charges beforehand. Never heard about meters at guest houses. For domestic use 1kwh is some 5b, aim for that. Now they are discounts, free supplies for some clients
Cunning Stunts
When we have done long term stays it has either been in with the price or it is a fixed, capped amount for each month. Would a hotel even have a meter for each room???? Edited July 30, 2021 by Cunning Stunts
lor
The place where I am staying used to be a pure hotel but now is mostly residences. They will only give leases up to 3 months max. Each room has it's own meter. Just got my first bill and been charged 7 baht per unit. I think domestic is about 3.5 baht.

Standard rate is/was 7 baht......it was then halved....but only be for Deep Red Zones (I think)????
GammaGlobulin
Is there a phone number to call in the CM area in order to ask the exact cost for a given amount of KwHs? For example, if one used 700 KwH, then what would the cost be. The power company uses a sliding scale, so that the first number of KWH is a certain amount, and then the next number of KWH is charged at a higher rate, etc, until reaching the maximum rate. Rather complicated. So, is there a number to call so that the company might calculate for you? Ie.... 700 KWH would costs how much....
internationalism
probably you would have to go directly to office with translator. it's 3.5b plus various charges, comes to 5b kwh. You can put your own meter near fuses. The cheapest ones 300 baht from lazada. If you prove the governmental one is faulty you can ask to exchange
