treetops
Telling the forum what device and what are the "countless solutions" you've tried would help.

bobandyson
I had a usb a few months ago suddenly cease working. Prior, I had some problems with music videos from youtube on the USB not playing on the PC using media player. I'd download and copy the problematic vids again and they'd be ok. Some vids I've played often and then suddenly would be unable to do so. Same happened if I used the USB on the TV. Now, all files are backed up on my PC too and they're playable and trouble-free, so it looked like the USB (Kingston) was 'iffy'. I tried using a few tutorials to try and recover the files or to just get the PC to recognise the USB but had no luck. I bought a 64GB Sandisk and have had no problems whatsoever so far. riclag
Did you try updating your usb device port drivers by going to the device manager in the control panel ! If that doesn't work try deleting the driver and restarting your computer, Don't worry about the deletion ,it will come back by default ! In the future ,you need to get up to par with the latest software and get windows 10 Edited August 3, 2021 by riclag
up2you2
For some reason, whatever I did yesterday worked. Last night and today it has finally stopped. The last action I took was: Control Panel Action Center Change Action Center Settings Un-clicking Check for updates This didn't work, so I re-click it Now no message
