Pattaya – A Cambodian worker has sustained serious injuries from an electric shock while installing underground cables at a condominium in South Pattaya.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident at 2:30 P.M. today (August 11th) at a condominium at the entrance of Soi South Pattaya 1 in Nongprue.

First response teams and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Mr. Wit Peet, 34, a Cambodian national, sitting dazed on a power pole holding a transformer and other cables. He is a staff member of a local company that is working on moving electric cables underground and was surveying the transformer area about two stories above the ground.

Didn't someone warn him to stay well away from the unsafe shoddy workmanship in Thailand? Poor guy.

Hope he is well

Thai - look a loose live cable - pass the "tool"

Other Thai - don't worry we have a lot more of them

a shocking experience for him,  hope he finds the power to carry next time.

He should have ensured that the transformer was isolated before picking it up.
