Notary In Thailand?

Featured Replies

I have to get a statment notarized for my bank in the USA. Is there anywhere I can do that in Pattaya? Does the US embassy still do that in Bangkok? Are they open on saturday? Thanks

Thailand does not have any "Notary Public" system as many other countries do. The US Embassy/Consulate is the only place to get a document notarized by a US notary. Go to the Citizens Services section, quick and easy. Better check hours and hoiliday schedule first though.

Having said that, many lawyers in Thailand will notarize documents with an impressive stamp and I had two US bank loan documents notarized by a Thai lawyer that were accepted by my bank with no problem.
