BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Commerce has debuted a new website showcasing selected products from local communities across the country. Shoppers can now place orders for more than 300 items conveniently available online, while selected entrepreneurs can list their items for sale without any fees.

The Department of Business Development (DBD) has launched the website kongdeetourthai.com, selling and showcasing selected community products from local sellers across the country.

Mrs Sorada Lerttharpachit, Deputy Director General at the DBD, said selected entrepreneurs will receive an opportunity to promote their products prior to actual sale in the online marketplace, at no cost to them.

She said the campaign allows entrepreneurs to find more marketing opportunities, and allows customers to have a more convenient way to purchase selected and premium goods by placing a direct order with sellers online, without the need to visit the sellers’ shops in other provinces.

The website now features some 300 items selected by local entrepreneurs who have completed training and workshops from the DBD’s marketing opportunity campaign for businesses in the service sector. The items include attire and jewelry, health and beauty products, food and farm products, goods from restaurants and service businesses, furniture and decor, as well as groceries from local businesses in all regions of Thailand.
