Staying With Mae Jii

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

My girlfriend is a buddhist and would like to spend a few days with the buddhist nuns (Mae Ji)?

Is it possible to stay with the nuns at the temple? Would there be accomadation available?

I would like to arrange this for her on our upcoming holiday if I can.

(And yes she does want me to become a buddhist as well. Hmm. More reading needed I think).

Many thanks

Jay

It would depend on the monastery, but many monasteries with resident mae chee will accept overnight visitors. By the way the common transliteration is mae chee rather than Mae Jii. The second word is ชี
