webfact
Picture: Daily News Samut Songkhram's Sanchai Pattanawichai led teams to inspect work at three floating markets in the area. They are spending 12.68 million baht on sprucing up the markets and old markets ready for the return of tourists to the area next year. Shopping facilities, boat sheds, toilet improvements and landscaping are all part of the plans in Amphawa, Wat Pleng and Bang Khonthi districts, reported Daily News. Sanchai admitted that Covid-19 was still delaying the reopening but he was confident that once the pandemic was under control the tourists would flock to the old markets and floating markets that are a famous feature of the province. With this in mind, and conscious that finding the areas can be a problem, he is working with civil engineers to improve signage so that the tourists can actually find them. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-09-17 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
