National – The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) this afternoon, September 23rd, has warned of tropical storm “Dianmu” which will eventually be downgraded to a tropical depression moving to cover the North, the Northeast, the East and the Central parts of Thailand according to their forecast.

The TMD has announced at 4 PM today that the depression storm over the middle of the South China Sea has been upgraded to tropical storm “Dianmu”. The storm was moving northwest about 25 km/hr to make landfall over the middle of Vietnam by tomorrow (The 24th of September).  It will then be downgraded to a tropical depression.

The storm is forecast to cover the Northeast and the Central part of Thailand. More rains, with isolated heavy to very heavy rains, are forecasted for the North, the Northeast, the Central, and the Eastern part of Thailand. People in those areas above should beware of flash floods. Chonburi is not expected to get the brunt of these storms at this time, although that could change.
