tomx2
Hi. I am applying for Non immigrant O-A visa. Right now, just reviewing their requirements/documents on E-visa. One item I am unsure of, is the “Travel Booking Conformation” stated in Upload Supporting Documents. Is this asking me to upload a paid E-ticket flight conformation? I was under the impression, buying the Air ticket should be done once the applicant has been pre-approved for their COE application. What document (on the visa form) do I upload for travel booking conformation? Thanks. TC.
aussiexpat
Don't you just need to provide a travel itinerary Copy of an airline ticket indicating the date of arrival to and departure from Thailand or letter stating the itinerary/ travel plan of the applicant.

Hi. If I provide a letter, it can be freeform; example: Leaving from New York(JFK) to Bangkok on November 11, 2021. Departure Time: 13:00 Arrival Time: :6:30am. sqwakvfr
The DC Embassy states the following for an OA Visa application: In my experience of applying for OA Visa's I had to always prove I had a confirmed travel booking. To me this means I had to actually purchased a ticket to Thailand. "Proof and Confirmation" leave little wiggle room for Semantics. Which embassy or consulate is the OP dealing with? 2.4 Proof of flight confirmation/reservation, indicating the trip from US to Thailand

So without getting a pre-approval for a COE, I must purchase my flight ticket for O-A visa? TC.

sqwakvfr
It is 2021 and I got an OA approved in Jan 2021 and I had to submit a confirmed flight booking to BKK on the initial visa application with the Los Angeles Thai Consulate.
tomx2
Thanks all for your feedback. It appears, from your replies, purchasing an air ticket to Thailand after pre-approval will only apply to Visa-Exempt travelers. TC. From COE Website: After application has been pre-approved, the applicant should buy air ticket and book an Alternative Quarantine (AQ) or book a SHA+ accommodation if the applicant apply for Sandbox
