Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi and Don Muaeng international airports have adapted Phuket’s “sandbox’ model in the management and processing of arriving foreign tourists. Disembarkation to leaving the airports will take roughly 25 minutes, according to Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob.

Today, the transport minister assured that the two international airports, Thailand’s main air gateways, will be 100% ready to welcome the first passengers on November 1st, when the country is reopened to tourists from low-risk countries, such as the UK, Germany, Singapore and China, who are fully inoculated with recognised COVID-19 vaccines and who have tested negative for the virus within 72 hours prior to arrival.

Four other airports are also open for foreign arrivals.

open for foreign arrivals but there is still no way to apply for the thailandpass, which takes 3-5 days to be processed.

You can only apply on the old COE system, which requires us to enter a 7 day SHA+/ASQ quarantine booking in the form

There is no way to prepare documentation for entry on the 1st yet.

Hurry up Thailand!!!

Not sure this person got the memo that you cannot leave the airport until a negative test being considered - 25 minutes my bottom ! That said could be all change by mid-morning

exactly!!!!!  so now only option is to either do the 7 day sandbox or 7 day quarantine .  until that coe is eliminated.  im guessing tommorow this will happen  and the new travel pass is issued.  will the thais move fast now that they have decided?  not sure i would want to be landing in thailand  on nov 1 at 6 am ...chaos?

Don Mueang expects 10.000 arrivals per Day. Lol.

What are they smoking? Or another broken calculator?

How many people have arrived through the praised Phuket sandbox? Around 300 per day maybe...

Arrived via Phuket sandbox yesterday. One full Boeing 777 and the place was overwhelmed.

Took 2 hours to clear the airport. The place will grind to a halt if tourists return in any great numbers and still require PCR swabs.
