PM Attends US-ASEAN Summit

BANGKOK (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha attended the US-ASEAN Summit where United States President Joe Biden promised to maintain help for ASEAN.

 

Gen Prayut joined the 9th US-ASEAN Summit remotely from Government House at 8pm and President Biden attended the summit for the first time after assuming his position.

 

In the meeting, Gen Prayut made three proposals on US-ASEAN cooperation.

Firstly, he proposed both sides work together to ensure the adequate and quick distribution of COVID-19 vaccines to people.

 

Because he obviously wasn't doing that with Tammy.

Additional question; why is much attention to the US, Washington, Biden and his predecessor given - after all it is an ASEAN meeting with the US as an invited guest? Pouring oil into the Chinese fire?
