Rift in Palang Pracharat party resolved, says party’s deputy leader

Internal conflict within Palang Pracharat, Thailand’s core government party, was resolved at a meeting on Wednesday between the party leader, Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, and the party’s MPs, according to Wirat Rattanaseth, the party’s deputy leader yesterday (Thursday).

The rift pitted one powerful faction, led by party secretary-general Thammanat Prompao, against another loyal to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, over the no-confidence vote in August, during which some of the party’s MPs abstained from voting for the prime minister.

Thammanat later resigned as deputy agriculture minister.

Do you believe this statement?

I don't, IMHO thammarat will soon be back attempting to get closer and closer to the PM position.

Watch this space.

Yep, the dissenters were told to “shut the **** up or someone was going to get a slap”.

I paraphrase, for the sake of clarity, of course…

Kind of expected wasn't it?

It's all become cutthroat.

Dead right, Praiwt has spoken.

thammanat was suppose to be removed yesterday from general secretary at reshuffle. He survived and he will stay and move upwards within party and in the future government.

The ppp is prawit's party.

Prayuth will have to form his own one, taking some mp's from the ppp, if he wants to run for another premiership. But now he will have small chance, too late to build party from the scratch.

He will face phua thai - ppp coalition, which is already forming.

Sadly, future forward won't have chance now with the new election law and not having any partners left. All odds stacked against them.

They will also face lese majeste law thrown against them, if they do well at ballot box.

In the end, it's all about the well being of the people and for the good of the country. ????????
