The director of a well known Bangkok hotel famous for its Chao Phraya river cruises says the hotel is not up for sale.

Apichart Patcharapinyopong of the River Side Hotel said that he has instructed lawyers for the hotel to go after someone who has been posting fake news on social media.

The person claimed they could act as an agent for the sale of the property for 6 billion baht.

Lawyers for the Bang Plat area hotel filed a case with the Bowon Mongkhon police, reported Spring News

Apichart warned people not to share the story stressing that the hotel was open for business and had three boats that continued to offer pleasure cruises on Bangkok's river, the Chao Phraya, that is next to the hotel.

I really don't see how this is defamationm if the owners wanted to sell the hotel would that be a good thing or a bad thing?

If the owners don't want to sell this could cause a loss in business... hence the deformation suit.
