Chaeng Wattana

Featured Replies

Chaeng Wattana surprisingly unbusy for a Monday morning. Popped in for a re-entry permit. Arrived 9.35am, left 9.45am. A record in several years of visiting there.

Good news. I'm going tomorrow to CW for extension retirement.

I usually go just prior to lunch break to obtain que ticket then do banking.

Might try earlier time given your report.

However reentry permit understandably quiet.

I have waited today 1h 10 minutes to pick up my extension. Some 20 people on front of me.

After that permit, some 10-15 waiting.

When I did my last extension on a Monday there were 40 people waiting, surprised to see only 5 westerners. The rest mostly had Chinese or Japanese passports. Curiously the first 15 queue numbers all went to people using an agent.

I was also there on Monday at 8:30am to pickup my marriage extension of stay 1 year stamp since I had already applied back in late Sep.  Took me 1 hr 20 min to get it done in the L2 section with almost all of that time being queue time.

Regarding the number of people in the L1 section which takes your application for long term extensions like retirement and marriage (and issues the final extension when a retirement extension) I estimate the L1 queue area to be about 80% full.
