Using SCB Credit Card in US

Featured Replies

I would like to use my (our) SCB credit card in the USA on Uber taxi and a hotel.

Would anyone know if there are fees, etc associated? What, how?

I can't recall years back I think we used a Thai card for car rental it was ok.

I recall the exchange rate was ok but took some time for charges to hit. I'm a bit worried about that with Uber I've read so many scam stories.

Will call to *open* our cards for US as well.

Thanks

Going the other way, using USA cards in Thailand usually entails a 3% foreign transaction fee....I'm going to guess there is some similar foreign transcatio fee going in reverse also.

2.5% currency conversion fee will be added to the exchange rate. So, you will be charged at a higher exchange rate for your payments in USA.
