Thieves have stolen a brand new motorbike from a salon owner in Banglamung this week, just the latest in what both local residents and law enforcement admit seems to be a series of thefts from a possible organized group.

Additional ฿76 billion needed for Thailand’s rice price support

Thailand’s cash-strapped Ministry of Finance will consult the Budget Bureau about finding an additional 76 billion baht to fund the Commerce Ministry’s rice farmer revenue guarantee scheme, for the 2021-22 main rice crops, estimated to cost about 89 billion baht.

Prime minister orders agencies to mitigate effects of storm surge

BANGKOK (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha has acknowledged updates on the floods in Bangkok and vicinity provinces which were triggered by storm surges in the Gulf of Thailand, and has ordered all agencies to quickly assist people in flooded areas. Meanwhile, the government spokesman has asserted that the prime minister is aware of developments affecting the public and the government is not remaining idle to the problems.
