expatocean
My 73 year old mother is arriving in Bangkok mid December and has been trying to book a hotel that includes the 1 night stay with Covid testing, meals and pick up, plus return to the airport. It is proving to be anything but simple to do this. Has anyone found a quick, easy way to get this done at reasonable cost please?
DrJack54
The hotel side of things is simple. Someone with recent first hand experience will be along. Your main concern is to help her with Thailand Pass. Thread in this forum to explain requirement/issues. Currently 68 pages in length.

donx
I found a couple reasonably priced hotels using Agoda. I made sure they had the SHA+ emblem. You will pay at a minimum ฿2000 for the COVID test and ฿1200 for the airport transfer to the hotel. The hotels I found were available December 26. ubonjoe
I have removed a duplicative of this topic. It can be a AQ or SHA+ hotel. Agoda is listing them now. This site has a list of hotels for the one night quarantine and testing. https://asq.in.th/bangkok-test-and-go-hotels

richard_smith237
Forget SHA+ If arriving in Bangkok. Choose a hotel with a full 1 night Alternative Quarantine’Test & Go’ package (which will include airport transfer & PCR test). i.e. Grand Center Point (on-site PCR test on arrival) Lots of AQ hotels on this site. https://asq.in.th

I booked an SHA+ hotel, 2 rooms for 3 nights for $260 plus $228 for the PCR tests and airport transfer for 3 adults. What is your reason for avoiding SHA+ hotels with Test & Go packages? Because it creates confusion for those not familiar with the system. There are many SHA+ hotels that do not include ‘Test & Go’ package and the uninitiated will not know to check the details to see if such hotels include PCR tests & transfers. For example: This (Kingston suites) hotel on agoda advertises itself as an SHA+ hotel, but it doesn’t have a ‘Test & Go’ package - thus just adds to the confusion. https://www.agoda.com/kingston-suites-hotel-bangkok/hotel/bangkok-th.html?checkin=2021-11-20&checkout=2021-11-23&los=3&rooms=1&adults=2&children=0&cid=1892421&searchrequestid=c2602e11-0ec1-47f0-8b3a-69742f1d324f Whereas this hotel (the Arte Hotel) is an SHA+ hotel that does have the’Test & Go’ package. https://www.agoda.com/arte-hotel/hotel/bangkok-th.html?checkin=2021-11-21&checkout=2021-11-22&los=1&rooms=1&adults=2&children=0&cid=1892421&searchrequestid=f1dce7f8-d2fa-43b5-954d-a9d69ad342f8&tspTypes=8%2C1 Edited November 12, 2021 by richard_smith237

I too initially booked reservations at hotels that, although they didn’t have the SHA+ emblem they did advertise as SHA, that I cancelled. Nevertheless, if you book a hotel with free cancellation and you don’t get a request from them (usually immediately) to pay for the Test & Go package, then find another hotel. I booked 3 hotels and compared the costs of each Test & Go package before settling on one. For those that aren’t concerned about cost, I agree with your recommendation. I’m the type of person that likes to find a good value and am willing to take the time to evaluate my options.
Crisu
I stayed in BKK several times in Furama Sathorn SHA+ Hotel. Only a 3 minute walk from BTS Chong Nonsi. They also offer a 1 Day "Test and Go" for just 3.590b inclusive 3 meals, Transfer from Airport to hotel and PCR Test. I booked direct on their homepage and received immediately a booking confirmation that i used for the Thailand Pass App. https://www.furama.com/xclusive/sathorn/promotions/TEST-Go-Sathorn Edited November 13, 2021 by Crisu
