Next month, Sihanoukville's 34 road infrastructure will be operational.

According to the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, the infrastructure of freshly built 34 roads in Sihanoukville, southwest Cambodia's Preah Sihanouk province, would be launched in early December.


Minister Chea Sophara said this yesterday after leading a working party of persons to assess the status of the road construction.

 

"The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the development of the 34-road construction project as well as the venue of the future inauguration ceremony, which will be presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen," he stated.

 

To assist improve the look of the beach city, the government committed about $300 million to develop the infrastructure of 34 highways in Sihanoukville.

 

The government's ambition to develop Sihanoukville into Cambodia's industrial powerhouse — a "second Shenzhen city" – would include improving infrastructure.
