Proposal to legalise porn in Thailand suffers setback

Featured Replies

Dead on arrival!  The few who brought it up don't really believe in it except when you get that big fat envelope no matter how silly it can be purposed?

I remember when my son hit that age I was a bit slow told the wife hey look at the history our son and his friend might be at that age they are checking out porn site. The next day when we went to pick him up at the school she told me to take a short detour?  At one junction she said slow down and noted see that building you take him there tonight the girls will know what to do?

She said porn is a waste of time take him there get the real thing and get it out of his system that is how the real Thais do it.  I said how much? 200 baht when I dropped him off I didn't know he was going to be so quick when I came back to the car he was waiting for me ask where were you pops I just said I had to use the bathroom.????

Just have to wait until those in power work out how they can make mullions out of it, then like cannabis it will suddenly be OK

  • What I love about this place is the real deal is more available then watching it. Suits me just fine.

So hypocritical, so typical of who's running the country.  Yet many or most have mia noi, visit brothels.  Country is moving backwards, so sad.

Mr Sonthiya warned that any MP who supports the proposal could be in breach of parliamentary ethics.

Horrible government from top to bottom.

If you disagree it could mean jail time and fines.

60 wives in a hotel are not sex toys, but hairdressers I think

Premature Legislation

Politicians and Ethics.......now that is what I call an oxymoron.

Just more blah blah blah.

Warning or declaring that supporting a proposal will put MPs in breach of an ethical code applied to Parliament strikes me as an eminently effective way of suppressing all sorts of proposals disliked by "the powers that be". I am sure that this will be trotted out again in future.

The whole point of a Parliament is that it is sovereign. If it is bound by rules made and applied by other interest groups then it can not be so.

I know, I know, all the hypocrisy!

But in reality, there are a lot of Thais who believe prostitution and pornography is a blight on Thailand.  We just typically never meet them or ever have honest conversations because we are not Thai.

Proposal to legalise porn in Thailand gets shafted.

<deleted> no, no, no. Rich kid killing police officer. Nothing. Police officers put plastic bag on someone's head and kills them? Not murder. Corruption is rife. No problem with corruption. Sex toys? No way. Pure madness driven by the religious right and supported by the ultra conservative military govt.

You think they aren't already making millions out of the sex industry?

Clearly the only thing preventing this from moving forward is that it would be TAKING away from what they are already making hence they have no interest in it.
