Nurseynutcase
Does anyone know if it is possible for someone who has documentary proof of a covid 19 infection can enter Thailand? My friend in the USA devoloped covid in October this year, it was diagnosed at his local hospital. He is now fully recovered and for personal reasons he does not want the jabs available in the USA. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
internationalism
no, she still would have to go into quarantine for 10 days. Somehow thailand is far behind the other countries, which allow for up to a year with hospital certificate. she can get just one shot j&j, that is not that strong vax, but good enough to enter on test&go

In fact five times more protection. COVID-19 vaccines more protective than ‘natural’ immunity (medicalnewstoday.com) Edited November 24, 2021 by LosLobo
internationalism
that is great, but not everybody can be vaccinated (in fact in thailand there is still an acute shortage of jabs and if not the usa and the uk donations very few foreigners would be vaccinated by now) or want to be vaccinated (for example some odd religious nuts). for example people with proven allergic reactions should not get jabbed, those who had recent infection should do so only after some 3 months. I do wander, why advanced countries, with well developed vaccination programs running from the end of the last year and without corruption of it, do allow for those hospital certificates to enter their countries. Island was allowing to enter without quarantine since the first wave in April 2020, well before vax were introduced at the end of the year Edited November 24, 2021 by internationalism
