OneMoreFarang
Good that the Americans lost that war. Obviously losing one war was not enough for them to learn. But after 20 years of wasting lives and money in Afghanistan maybe they will learn one day not to invade other peoples' countries - maybe
Captain Monday
No, they won't learn. Many voters, especially white males in heavily gerrymandered swing states believe we won in Vietnam. Domino Theory + fact that it is now a place for foreign manufacturers to exploit cheap labor. They believe atomic bombing of Japan was strategically necessary and morally justifiable. More boilerplate revisionist history that incnerating 100s of thousands "saved" millions. They believe the only problem in Afghanistan is we are not still there, or simply that the withdrawal was improper/ wrong because of Biden. Pure politics. There is no opposition to continued endless war from mainstream Democrats either.
