A driver has sustained severe injuries after he crashed his truck into a broken-down trailer truck on an overpass in Mueang Chonburi.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Wednesday (November 24th) on an overpass in the Na Pa sub-district. They arrived at the scene to find the two severely damaged vehicles having collided with each other.

The truck driver, Mr. Kanchit Anumat, 30, was stuck inside his cab. He had sustained severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital for medical aid.

Pray tell me how you can look where you are going while texting - first things first ????

Looks like the driver was travelling right up the backside of a vehicle in front and decided to overtake on the left without knowing what was ahead. The driver is probably thinking to himself. . . "but I've got away with it hundreds of times before, why now?".

I was wondering if he had the curtains shut at the time, ????

bet on the phone ??? as most thai driver think this is norm !!!

If in fact he had his hazard lights on, and they were clean, even then it should be visible, but most just want to pass the car in front at whatever cost.

Ah, but it could be the truck and trailer driver's fault, for failing to stop legally while breaking down.

I was under the impression that if a vehicle decides to break down, it doesn't always do so on the hard shoulder.

Failing to use his hazard lights, failing to rope off his trailer, ahh yes, failing to put the obligatory tree branch down on the road. Failing to get out and walk down the road 30 meters and signal a broken  down truck trailer.

For goodness sake. Really?
