Families arriving in the Kingdom with children who are unvaccinated because the vaccine is not available for their age are not required to quarantine provided the eligible members of the family have been fully vaccinated. On November 15, Prime Minister Hun Sen announced quarantine-free arrivals for all fully vaccinated travellers and 14-day quarantine for unvaccinated travellers.

The travel conditions and implementations of health measures for travellers entering Cambodia came to light the following day but it did not clarify about unvaccinated children. Health Ministry spokesman Hok Kim Cheng told Khmer Times yesterday that for children below 12-years-old who are unvaccinated, they are not required quarantine.

“We cannot keep the children by leaving them alone in the quarantine place. It is very serious if we did so. Therefore, for all of the children who are unvaccinated below 12-years-old, they don’t have the obligation for quarantine,” he said.
