Government announces Dec 8 as a mourning day for the late Prince Ranariddh

The government has set December 8 as a state mourning day for late royalist Funcinpec president and former first Prime Minister Prince Norodom Ranariddh to pay tribute to his service to the nation.

 

In a statement issued Friday, Prime Minister Hun Sen said “ All ministries, institutions, schools, state and private hospitals, civil servants, all kinds of armed forces, all pagodas and people across the country must fly the flags at haft-mast.”

 

All radio and TV stations must cancel their joyful entertainment performances on December 8, he said.
