webfact
Picture: Naew Na A road safety commitee chaired by Thaiphat Thanasombatkul, a transport and traffic deputy, reported on work done in 2021 to target accident blackspots in the Thai capital Bangkok. This was done under what Naew Na called the "Zero Accident Zero" project. ASEAN NOW thinks English challenges this media and they meant "Zero Accident Zone". 174 zones were identified earlier across Bangkok's 50 districts and the committee reported that 158 of these or 91% had now been addressed. This seemed to indicate that they were no longer dangerous though exactly what had been done remained a mystery. The remining ones are works in progress and have been divvied up under various authorities' responsibility. Work will continue under a new project name in 2022 on a further 118 blackspots.
