Oh yes! The TV comedians What a joy.

MuM is quite good, been on his show a few years ago and actually got paid for it, only a few seconds of acting the daft foreigner!

Hi,

Mostly luk thung (เพลงลูกทุ่ง) hits, singers like Look Isaan,  Monkaen Kaenkoon, or older like Pornsak Songsaeng.

I'm lucky because we live between two villages. So, two different playlists at the same time every morning 555!

Hahaha! Thanks, a few good ones in your list, looks so much like "in the sticks" Isan!

For years, the phu yai baan was our immediate neighbour and of course he had one of the village loudspeakers right by the house. Joy! ???????? Oh, getting back to sleep afterwards, one of the best moments of the day!

1,)Use the Shazam app to get the names of the song.

2.)Get Spotify Premium to create your own playlists.

Spotify Premium is great and inexpensive in Thailand.

Theres a free version also, no personal playlist and other caveats of premium.

Its also has an extensive podcast selection for listening on long drives or just chillin.

Just the title of this discussion was enough to make me laugh????. Sometimes I'm up before 5am because of our dogs so I have a coffee & smoke. At 5am on goes the xylophone music till about 5.45 then whichever monk is on duty hits his playlist. I've sung along to Dancing Queen & Highway To Hell at 6am on a few mornings

To me, it is mostly a lovely sound of my adopted homeland... it is part of living here.

I'm up at 5ish with my wife anyway. As you said, all part of the day here

When I stayed with a Thai family in a suburb of Chiang Mai, it was a nearby rooster that

woke me up each morning. In Bangkok it was a Muslim guy blaring his 530 AM chant.

It seems that in Thailand, you have to put up with noise no matter where you sleep.

Not one of my fond memories of the country.

Thank you for the links.

The songs coming from my village loudspeaker sound like they are from an older era than these songs.

The second link from the bottom is probably the closest, though the songs in my village have a slower pace. Maybe a bit more sad, too.

Try maybe these two remastered 60' 70's compilations :

We had Pornsak live in the village two years ago. Was good. I took a small video:

I had to chuckle at your video, its great quality. Look at the size of the stage, the gantry setup and those amazing lights .. If it wasn't for the mango tree in the background, I could be in Wembly Arena (well that's a stretch). You then pan around and there are 30 people sitting on blue plastic chairs in the poo Yai bans garden.

Too far away from the speaker to be an issue, can barely hear it, but I do enjoy issan music.   Siriporn Ampaipog being one of my favorites , Tai Orathai being anothe, there are many other but i cant remember their names.

A couple of ears ago  came across this song by the footpath family band, and I have to say this is by far my favorite.
