One of my dogs has a constant cough. 

I took him to the vet a while back and got antibiotics which did the trick but they charged about 4,000 baht

 

I am going to go to the local drug store to buy antibiotic but want to check that human ones work on dogs. I forgot the one given last time by vet. 

 

Is there one that is better for dogs?

 

doxycicline 100mg capsules in blisters of 10.

or as tablets 100mg - that is cheaper and easier to administer.

with chronic bronchitis some 10mg per kg. But double check with vet.

Air pollution is a factor. If possible keep indoors with air conditioning, air purifier 

Just let it cough! It will go over. Done it 6 times with our dog.
