Popular Post webfact
Luxury Six Senses Yao Noi in Phang-Nga Bay also honoured, as one of Asia’s best hotels and resorts TAT Newsroom Bangkok, 15 December, 2021 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to report that Chiang Mai has been included in Conde Nast Traveler’s Gold List 2022, as one of the best destinations in the world. The Gold List includes places and experiences handpicked by Conde Nast Traveler’s global editors based across three continents, and this year for the first time, destinations have also been chosen in addition to hotels and cruises. Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said, “The inclusion of Chiang Mai and Six Senses Yao Noi in such a select worldwide collection as Conde Nast Traveler’s Gold List is a welcome honour, even more so when considering the list is compiled by travel editors; those who know what’s on offer around the world perhaps better than most.” The Gold List is one of three annual lists by Conde Nast Traveler, the others being the well-known Readers’ Choice Awards and the Hot List, which compiles the new and notable in the travel world. The Gold List is described as being about the places and experiences the Conde Nast Traveler editors carry in their hearts. While Chiang Mai made it into the Gold List’s collection of ‘The Best Destinations in the World’, the luxury resort Six Senses Yao Noi in Phang-Nga Bay was named in the list of ‘The Best Hotels and Resorts in Asia’. Popular Post BritManToo
Best destination for what? It's a nice place to live (pollution allowing), but I wouldn't class it as a great tourist destination. Almost everywhere in Vietnam and Cambodia beats it. 3

It's a mixture coal smoke and fog. Try visiting Beijing in winter to experience real SMOG! 60 years ago London used to have SMOG where you could not see more than 6 feet in front of you then. The traffic and farm burning pollution is not SMOG!
