webfact
Picture: Daily News The PR page of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration confirmed that governor Gen Aswin Kwanmuang was following CCSA recommendations for New Year gatherings. Earlier health minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Dr Opas Kankavinpong of the CCSA said all drinking must stop at 1 am. This will be followed to the letter in the Thai capital Bangkok on December/31st January 1st. Even then only open spaces can serve alcohol and all protocols must be in place. The rules remain the same for restaurants with Covid Free Setting and TSC2+ accreditation, reported Daily News. That is 11 pm. For big gatherings tickets must be obtained in advance with no walk-ins allowed. For "Countdown" events with 1000+ people, everyone must be double vaxxed AND have proof of negative ATK tests within 72 hours. For events under 1000 people double vax is necessary but not ATK. Smaller events must still follow other rules. herfiehandbag
I suppose for them "fun" is sitting in a high backed swivel chair, in their tightest uniform, at the entire of a table groaning under bouquets of yellow flowers, flanked by their acolytes and backed up by a huge vinyl backdrop, laying down the law for the plebs - what they can and cannot do, at what times, and never forget that if you break these rules you could be fined or sent to prison. That for them is fun - it massages their massive egos and establishes them as really important people. The absolutely obvious is ignored. If you are worried that New Year celebrations will lead to a massive infection rate then don't hold them, and explain and justify why. Mind you, they have lied, bull<deleted>ted and bossed people around for so long now that nobody would believe them anyway! If you are allowing New Year celebrations then just let them happen, rather than ringing them in with restrictions which will only ultimately be enforced by cracking heads at 1am on January 1st!

Jonathan Fairfield
Bangkok Allows Alcohol Drinks Until 1 AM on New Year’s Eve BANGKOK (NNT) - Holidaymakers can look forward to enjoying alcoholic beverages at eateries in Bangkok on New Year’s Eve. The Bangkok disease control committee, chaired by Bangkok Governor Assawin Kwanmuang, recently approved several revisions to prevention measures for the New Year holidays. The measures will be in accordance with recent regulations issued by the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration. Alcohol consumption will be allowed during the holidays at open-air venues from December 31, 2021, to January 1, 2022, while restaurants can serve alcohol until 1 AM on New Year’s Eve under the condition that they strictly uphold “COVID-Free Setting” standards. The CCSA also advised provincial officials to conduct thorough screenings of those returning home for the New Year holiday season, and to maintain strict disease prevention measures. Businesses and manufacturers should also screen personnel returning to work after the holidays. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-12-18 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
