With so many aspiring racing drivers in LOS it’s surprising we don’t see too many in the real arena. Here’s is one. The industrial complex next to our village has a Kerry depot. Every morning you can hear scooters with loud exhausts entering the gate. Lewischai passes the few sheds to get to his, a narrow passage way resembling a pit lane that amplifies and echos the sound tickles his imagination. He revs high and low several times. Hopping into the orange truck, with modified exhaust also, he starts it up then comes the half a dozen revving in neutral. Drives back through the pit lane revving high and low with the mandatory wheel spin to warm up the tires perhaps? There is no pit speed limiter but he’s never been penalized before so it’s all good. Out he goes through the gate with a wheel spin to start the race. What about the residential neighborhood or other businesses? But It’s my dream he says.

A land of dreamers with unmatched determination seems all too common in many circles in LOS.
