webfact
Picture: Sanook CCTV footage from the front of a shop on the Chiang Mai to Doi Saket road showed the moment a wheel came off the front of a pick-up. The front left wheel went at speed into a flower pot in a noodle shop but fortunately no one was hurt. Tawan, the owner of the footage, said that he normally parked in that place but hadn't on Saturday. The Mitsubishi pick-up was being driver by an employee of a "tent" - a place for second hand vehicles. He told Tawan that the pick-up had been put into a garage for a service and he was taking it on a test-drive before offering it for sale, reported Sanook. He reckoned that the mechanic had forgotten to tighten the nuts. The tent employee managed to control the pick-up and come to a safe stop within 100 meters of losing his wheel.
