Wise Restriction

Featured Replies

Last week Wise Emailed to inform me that as of 7 Jan they were restricted to sending a maximum of Thb50000 in any one transaction to any Thai bank except Kasikorn, Siam Commercial and Bangkok Bank.

Wise customer relations could not explain why except that it was a restriction on their licence to operate in Thailand. Can anybody offer further reasons or expand on this?

Not the best if your buying real estate etc.

Last time I did that the limit was something like 800k baht.

50k would be messy.

This topic should be in Finance banking forum

Well there's still three main Banks they list where you can carry on sending as much money as you like. Just open another bank account.

I did not see them, link please.

Very Wise to keep transactions below 50k. Not sure I would risk transferring 100k at one go. That would be a months spending down the chute. I restrict my transactions so that I can follow up with another to get the FTT Immigration insist on if one slips through as a local transfer

It's Thai logic. They wouldn't have thought of that, and if you can use three alternative banks what is the point anyway?

I need about four months to get through 100k. And I live very comfortably on that. I win ????

Must be a joke.

Too subtle for me to see it.

If alone and no rent and no electric and no internet and no car and no health insurance to pay. I could manage that as well! ????

Clearly no booze. For that matter "wine women and song"

WYSE has told me that to a Kasikorn account, the limit is 2M Baht per transfer,

Other discussions on this we dont need yet another topic on it.
